Logic Pro and Logic Express get updates

Apple’s updating some pro applications today. Logic Pro and Logic Express 9 both received updates in an attempt to bring the traditional “improved compatibility” to the new Mac Pros, as well as other enhancements.

If you’re running a 6 or 12-core Mac Pro system, you’ll see a performance boost. They’ve also introduced support for iOS control surface apps that utilize the OSC protocal.

You can get their full release notes for Logic Pro and Logic Express. Both updates weigh in over 100MB, so if you’re planning on downloading either of these updates right away, you might want to dedicate some time to waiting, as they might take a while.

Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express are Apple’s software solution for audio recording.  If you plan on recording any audio, or music, you’ll want to check it out.  It’s a huge step up from GarageBand.
