Twitter Gives You The Option To Let ALL Your Followers DM You

Twitter has added some new functionality to its social network. You can now flip a switch and let all of your followers direct message you, without having to follow them back.

Basically, if you’re the type of person or business who needs to be available to customers, you no longer have to manually follow people before you can correspond over Twitter. In our case, our followers can now send us tips and links to stories directly, and in private.

Want to turn on the feature? Here’s how:

  • Log in to Twitter
  • Click the gear in the top right of the screen
  • Click Settings
  • Put a check beside ‘Receive direct messages from any follower’
  • Click the save changes button.

That’s all there is to it.

Props to Twitter for not turning it on by default. That would get out of hand pretty quickly for some people.
