Liverpool Apple Store empties shelves, looters settle for Zunes

Apparently an Apple Store in Liverpool had a bit of genius and decided to empty the entire store in response to a nearby riot.

Tom Warren tweeted an image of the empty Apple Store purportedly taken in Liverpool after a peaceful protest over the fatal police shooting of Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old father of four, turned violent.

Many stores that did not act this quickly were subject to mass looting, and were left cleaning up the pieces this morning. One of the hardest hit targets in the looting was Sony’s DADC center, which was looted and set ablaze.

These facilities specialize in CD, Blu-Ray, DVD production and distribution and BBC has confirmed that rioters were seen fleeing the scene with Sony goods.
