iFixit murders the new MacBook Pro, then resuscitates it

Back in the day, during the time of mod chips and Sony PlayStations, I got a bit of a buzz from taking apart electronics and messing with them. Sometimes the machines came back to life, but other times I’d kill them. I quickly learned that I was not an electrical engineer to any degree, nor was I talented enough to make mods to my devices on my own. I kept trying though, and eventually I got it right. iFixit takes the guess work out of tear-downs, and they’re already providing a nice how-to guide for the new 15-inch MacBook Pro.

The iFixit team has taken apart the new MacBook Pro and put it back together again so that we can have detailed repair instructions.  For most of us, we probably wouldn’t need to take apart our machines at any point, but getting a look at what’s inside the box is pretty intriguing. If you’re as curious about what’s inside the box as I am, then you’re going to want to check it out. It’s pretty amazing just how little goes into these machines. It’s a thing of beauty.

Also, please note that taking apart your MacBook Pro voids your warranty.  So, don’t say that we didn’t warn you.
