There are a lot of weather apps out there, and Yahoo! is jumping in feet first with its own contribution. Yahoo! Weather is a unique weather offering that combines beautiful photos that match your location, time of day, and current weather condition.

Yahoo! Weather sets itself apart by being half weather app and half photography app. It doesn’t just display the temperature and conditions of your city, but it also pulls photos from Flickr of your actual town that was taken when it matched the current conditions outside. The photo will also match the time of day, so if you’re checking the weather on a clear night it will pull a photo from Flickr that was taken on a clear night.

Yahoo! Weather isn’t just a pretty face though. It features detailed weather information and forecasts and includes interactive radar, satellite, heat and wind maps, as well as sunrise/sunset times.

If you swipe down on your forecast you’ll see hourly and five day forecasts, a verbal weather report, a satellite map of prevailing conditions, precipitation forecasts and animated graphics for prevailing wind and pressure conditions. It also gives information about where the sun and moon are in their cycle. You can also swipe horizontally for favorite locations.

Yahoo! Weather is now available on the App Store and you can get this gorgeous weather app for free. You can also submit new photos to the app at Project Weather on Flickr.
