Fring does it, brings 4-way video chat to iOS

You’d think Apple would be at the top of the video chat pyramid considering they keep trying to reinvent chatting in iOS (FaceTime, iMessages), but it took Fring to really beat everyone to the punch, including Skype, who is on the brink of releasing a native iPad application in the coming days. The iPad now has 4-way video chat courtesy of Fring.

Included in the update is free video chat over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi, free Fring-to-Fring calls, drag and drop navigations, and simultaneous voice / video and chat.

So there you have it. No more excuses. Group chat is here to stay. Now, if we could only get FaceTime over 3G.
