Flipboard adds Instagram to their application, kills photo albums in the process

Flipboard has been updated to version 1.2, and they’ve added performance tweaks, a social search, and Instagram integration.

It’s kind of funny that Flipboard has decided to add instagram support today. I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to figure out the best way to get my Apple TV to display an Instagram feed from Flickr as my default screensaver.

Adding Instagram is as simple as adding any other section to your Flipboard. Just click the add a section button, select Instagram from the list, and you’re off to the races.

Flipboard lets you view the images at 2/3 screen size, share the photos with your social networks, as well as like and comment on each of the photos in your steam.

So much for traditional photo albums.
