The fine folks at Yale have decided to fight back against the Lyme Disease spreading ticks.  Students at the Yale School of Public Health set out to create an application that would educate the public — making one of the more practical applications on the iPhone.

I have to admit, I had no idea what a tick looked like up until check out this application. The application will surely help in identifying the Ticks at their multiple life stages, and it might even help you avoid Lyme disease.  Included in the application are maps of densely populated Tick locations, as well as videos on how to remove a tick should you be bitten.

So if you live in a Tick infested area you might want to check out this application. Lyme Disease Tick Map is available in the AppStore for $1.99.
