CloudApp buys Ember from Realmac Software

Here’s a doozy we didn’t see coming. CloudApp, the popular web application that lets you snap screenshots and share them around the internet, has purchased Ember – another application that has similar functionality – from the Realmac team.

According to a blog post on the official CloudApp blog, the CloudApp team plans to keep Ember running as is for the time being. The news doesn’t end there though. Realmac, the makers of Courier and LittleSnapper!, will be building Cloudapp support into both of their applications in the near future.

I personally love LittleSnapper!, but rarely do I use the Ember functionality. That being said, I love CloudApp, and having CloudApp available to me in LittleSnapper! could easily change my workflow.

CloudApp currently lets users upload images, audio, video, bookmarks and others things to the internet, then share them with others or keep them in storage.
