Viral Video Blames Apple For The Demise of Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s Enterprise

I’ve been getting asked a lot of questions about whether or not the patent ruling in the Apple vs. Samsung case will be good or bad for innovation. Honestly, I have no clue. What I do know, thanks to this video that has gone viral, is that Apple’s quest to secure its patents is directly responsible for the demise of Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s Enterprise.

In a hilarious video titled, Apple Kills Star Trek, we see how patent rulings have forced the Enterprise into a rather awkward position where none of their systems work because they had to remove functionality due to patent infringements. It’s kinda hilarious, no matter where you fall on the “Samsung ripped off Apple” spectrum.

For the record, I’m firmly in the “Samsung blatantly ripped off Apple, and didn’t feel bad at all about doing it” camp. I still laughed at this though.

LAWL. See?
