Tim Cook To Speak At The All Things Digital Conference

Allthingsd

Today, AllThingsD announced on their website that Tim Cook will be the opening speaker at the tenth annual D: All Things Digital Conference. Of course, Steve Jobs had famously made appearances at the conference. Most notably, he appeared alongside Bill Gates in an incredibly amicable sit-down.

Kara Swisher:

It will be Cook’s first appearance at D, as well as his first time being onstage at an event not run by Apple or for investors since he was named CEO last August.

Steve can’t be replaced, and Tim clearly knows that. He has a very different style, and a very different different focus as it seems. It will be nice to see how Tim will perform in a less controlled environment as CEO.

Also joining Tim on the speaker list are “New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz, as well as many more.” These are VIPs, and AllThingsD continues to get the best of the best. Don’t count out Uncle Walt’s pull in the industry.

What do you think? Is Tim going to wow us with his southern charm, or are we going to see a standard talk from someone who is really good at making money? Sound off by hitting us up on Twitter. Our handle is @macgasm, and we’d love to hear from you.
