Swiss Federal Railway Claims Apple Ripped Off Its Clock Design, Probably Right

The Swiss Federal Railway service has accused Apple of blatantly ripping off its “iconic” clock for the iOS 6 iPad application. After spending two seconds looking at the clock and a screen shot of the clock in iOS 6, it’s hard to argue that the Swiss Federal Railway service is making this up.

From Tagesanzeiger (translated):

“While we have joy that the Swiss Railway Clock at Apple used. This is one more proof that she is a true designer piece,” SBB spokesman Christian Ginsig said to a report of” Blick am Abend “. This act, however, to any unauthorized use of Apple …  The copyright and trademark rights, says Christian Ginsig belonged SBB. They produce the watches of the company Mobatime. There, one is surprised that Apple has copied the design classic so directly. According to Rolf Loosli, who is twenty years working for the company, but it is quite rare that you copied the station clock. After all, the design was so popular that the clock is in agreement with the SBB also widely sell.

What do you think? Kinda looks like Apple “borrowed” the design, doesn’t it.
