Strangely, Notifications Appear On iCloud Website

We know notifications are heading to Mountain Lion sometime this summer, but what we don’t know is if notifications will sync between devices, bringing iOS notifications into OS X and vice versa. MacRumors has noticed that Apple has begun testing notifications directly on its iCoud website, possibly bringing a notification service directly to the Internet.

There’s not much to go on, but it appears that TUAW has also confirmed that the notifications are appearing, albeit somewhat mysteriously.

It’s pretty interesting, and the possibilities are pretty endless, but we can’t help but hope that this means that we will be getting notification services synced across the entire iOS and OS X lineup. We really, really hope that this may also include some kind of notification system built into the iPod nano. Obviously we’re just speculating here, but being able to get notifications directly to an iWatch would certainly add a lot of utility to the miniature iPod.

Anywho, we’ll keep you posted as we hear more on these mysterious notifications that keep appearing in iCloud.
