Apple Releases Apple TV Update, Brings Shared Photo Streams To The Party

Apple has rolled out a new update for the Apple TV, bringing a bunch of new features, including Shared Photo Streams, to the big screen. The update, available through the Apple TV settings menu, also brings with it the ability to port audio from the Apple TV To AirPlay capable speaker systems and receivers.

Shared Photo StreamsAccept invitations for Shared Photo Streams, browse photos and comments, and receive notifications of new content.
AirPlaySend audio content from Apple TV to AirPlay-enabled speakers and devices (including AirPort Express and other Apple TVs). Also includes the ability to require an onscreen code to use AirPlay with your Apple TV.
iTunes account switchingSave multiple iTunes accounts and switch quickly between them.
TrailersSearch movie trailers. In the United States, see show times for local theaters.
Screen saversNew Cascade, Shrinking Tiles, and Sliding Panels screen savers.
Main menuReorder icons on the second page by holding down the select button on the remote.
SubtitlesSDH support for the deaf and hard-of-hearing as well as improvements to viewing and selecting subtitles.
