Apple posts an abundance of iPad 2 videos

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is 14 videos worth? We’re about to find out, as Apple has posted said number of videos about the iPad 2 on its site. You can find them in the “Guided Tours” tab of the iPad section. There are videos showing off everything from FaceTime and AirPlay, to more mundane things like Mail and Safari. If you’ve been wanting to see more of the iPad 2, beyond the introductory video and the Smart Cover demo video, now’s your chance.

These videos aim to cover all the bases for customers who are thinking about an iPad 2 and wondering what it can do, or how they might use it.

In typical Apple fashion, the iPad and its various apps are demonstrated in real world settings by idealized people who are always receiving emails with photos about their trip to Hawaii or FaceTime chats with grandparents at birthday parties. Many people also seem to put their feet up on their desk or coffee table while using the iPad. Since I don’t have an iPad (yet) I can’t say whether owning an iPad results in the behaviours demonstrated in the videos.

Maybe I’m not cut out to be an iPad person. I don’t even have a coffee table.
