Official Google Voice App comes back to the App Store

While Americans have been able to get an HTML5 version of Google Voice on their iPhones for quite some time now, they can now also officially get a native iOS application again. Google Voice for the iPhone has been approved by Apple.

Apple has approved Google Voice for iPhone, and it’s already available on the App Store for free. The application lets you place phone calls through the Google Voice network instead of your cellphone carrier’s network. This way they can offer you cheap international rates, free text messaging to U.S. numbers, voicemail transcription, as well as some other things.

Unfortunately Google Voice is currently only available in the U.S., which makes this Canadian feel extra loved once again.

You can download Google Voice on the App Store for free.
