The launch of HealthCare.gov was a big enough disaster that we even heard about it up here in Canada. Strangely, mums been the word since. However, apparently a group of wizards have saved the website, and it’s working reasonably well these days.

Time Magazine has a 14-page article up online on the team, and how they managed to fix the disaster. Apparently the site was built to handle a few thousand concurrent users at a time (500,000 showed up at launch). To put that into perspective, our web server here has been designed to handle the same kind of load. No wonder the site collapsed in a hurry.

The article is an interesting read, and we recommend heading over to the Time website to check it out.
