Instagram To Begin Sharing Your Data With Facebook Starting In January
In a blog post on Instagram‘s website, the company has announced:
While the information is pretty disingenuous, focusing on the small perks that customers will see from the changes, you should also be aware that Facebook stands to gain quite a bit of information from you, and the data Instagram is sending in their direction.
There’s a high likelihood that this all ends up in targeted advertisements on Instagram, considering both have mentioned the possibility, albeit rather vaguely. Sure, there’s spam benefits, but we’re willing to bet the more important information making the move is whether or not you prefer Pepsi over Coke with your lunch.
