Chrome For iOS Updated, Adds Passbook Support

Google has just updated Chrome for iOS to version 23.0.1271.91. This update gives Chrome for iOS the ability to open PDFs in other applications as well as the ability to add Passbook passes to the Passbook app within Chrome. Here’s the full list of updates and fixes:

  • Open PDFs in other apps.
  • Save your boarding passes and tickets with Passbook.
  • Seeing garbled characters? Turn on text encoding detection in settings.
  • Stability and security improvements
  • Many bug fixes

Google has done a pretty good job of constantly updating Chrome for iOS. It seems as if they’re updating the application every few weeks.

If you’re unaware, Google introduced Chrome for iOS earlier this year at I/O 2012. Hardcore Chrome users love using Chrome for iOS as it allows them to sync tabs and other browser information between all other devices that have Chrome installed, whether it be on iOS, OS X, Android or Windows. The interface is also very similar to that of Chrome desktop, so Chrome users will have no problem transitioning to Chrome for iOS from the desktop version.
