Readability, a read-it-later app available on the App Store, has just received a new update, making the app work faster than ever and bringing a brand new grid-style appearance with Top Reads and Longform Picks reading lists on the iPad.
According to the official Readability blog, “Grid View gives readers a more inviting, visual way to discover new content.” In addition, it makes it a lot easier to scan through reading lists and quickly pick out articles that really catch your attention. Each article has a short preview alongside the main image of the story. The update also brings even more sync speed improvements.
The new look is only offered on the iPad (including the iPad mini), though, so if you only use Readability for iPhone you’ll be missing out on the new look. Before this update, Readability for iOS got iPhone 5 support, a unified navigation menu, a new URL scheme, and a new gesture for saving articles.
