Tapbots, the developers of the popular iPhone and iPad app Tweetbot, have just released Netbot, an iOS client for App.net. This application features the same beautiful user interface as Tweetbot with simple changes made to fit App.net specifications. Netbot allows App.net users to do everything they would normally do on App.net, like post messages, favorite posts and view the global feed. Netbot also brings a few improvements to the service as well by giving users the option to save links to popular “read it later” services like Pocket and Instapaper. Users of Tweetbot will love Netbot as the apps are so similar, giving users little to relearn. And yes, Netbot is iPhone 5 and iOS 6 compatible.
As a longtime user of Tweetbot, I’m pretty excited that the guys at Tapbots have decided to create an App.net client. After giving Netbot a quick test, I’m completely satisfied with the application and am excited for future updates, which will hopefully bring some more small improvements and features to the app.
If you’d like to grab Netbot for yourself, hit the link below and expect to drop $4.99. Keep in mind that App.net is a paid service as well, as membership currently costs $36 per year or $5 per month.Follow @macgasm
