Ballmer: iPhone sucks; Apple’s reply: 25 billion iOS app downloads

Ballmer: iPhone sucks; Apples reply: 25 billion iOS app downloadsApple has initiated a countdown to 25 billion apps. At the time I am writing this, the counter has reached roughly 24.26 billion, and the number is continuing to grow at a ridiculous pace.

In January of 2011, Apple had a similar countdown, but to a mere 10 billion downloads. That means the amount of downloads from the iOS App Store has more than doubled in just over a year’s time. Just like last year, Apple is offering a chance at a $10,000 USD App Store gift card if you happen to be the lucky person to download the 25 billionth app. That shouldn’t be too difficult, right?
