App Store apps come to Twitter’s website

App Store apps come to Twitters websiteMuch like iTunes music, Apple has brought apps directly to the Twitter website. If you use Twitter’s web application instead of a native Twitter client, you’re going to start noticing direct links to purchase and download apps from Apple’s App Store.  The listings also now come complete with screenshots and app descriptions.

It’s going to be super handy knowing what you’re clicking on before you click on it. My next question: how long will it be until we see Twitter doing this with RSS and other text/web based links?

Pretty nifty!

Quick Note: Make sure you click on the Tweet, not the link in the Tweet.

Interesting. I like the idea, I just don't want this to go too far, and it to feel cluttered and spammy like Facebook. At least the tweet has to be clicked on to show the additional information.

Is Android going to follow suit?

Neato! They probably added this at the same time that they added inline-linked tweet viewing (As I reported here) - http://www.oaggle.com/2011/02/06/twitter-launches-in-line-tweet-viewing-on-new-twitter/
