Reeder for iPhone gets Readability and other updates

Reeder for iPhone gets Readability and other updatesReeder is by far one of the best RSS readers available for iOS. Pretty soon it’s going to be the best RSS reader for Mac OS X. Oh, who am I kidding? It already is the best, and it’s only in beta.

Reeder for iPhone got a pretty large update today. Silvio Rizzi has cleaned up some crashy bugs (syncing problems), given users the ability to load up to 5,000 unread items, as well as included integrated Readability functionality. Readability is the same technology behind Apple’s Safari “Reader” that cleans up an article and only provides text.

Reeder for iPhone also now supports fullscreen image viewing, which is something that’s been a bit irksome since the application launched. Silvio has solved the full screen image viewing and Readability problems by integrating pinch gestures to jump in and out of each feature.  Pinch and it reveals Readability; pull your fingers apart and your image will open in fullscreen mode.
