How To Close All Safari Tabs At Once In iOS 7

This one’s simple, but hidden enough that you may not realize you can close  all of your open browser tabs at one time in iOS 7. Normally, I just keep hitting the “x” in the top left corner of each of the cards that pops up in the new tab window in Safari.

That works well if you just have one or two things to close, but if you’re like me, and you have three dozen tabs open on your iPhone, you can close them all out by doing the following:

  1. Click the new tab button. It looks like two squares.
  2. Tap the “private” link.
  3. Now click the “Close All” link.
  4. That should do it.

Personally I’d prefer a modal popup after long holding the new tab button, but this is better than nothing.
