Just a quick hint for those who have or will upgrade from a 1st Generation iPhone to the new iPhone 3G. Â Remove the SIM out of the old iPhone. Â This will stop it from looking for the Wireless Service Provider and allow for better battery life. Â For even better battery life turn off the Wireless, unless, you’re using it at the time. Â The only drawback to this, which is minor in my opinion, is that you will have to acknowledge the fact that there isn’t a SIM in the slot. Â But this is only when you startup the phone, so it’s not really a big deal. Viola, a new iPod Touch… iPhone edition ;)
Just something I thought everybody should be aware of when upgrading.
