The best Super Bowl ads are free

When I first saw this post by Jim Cramer, I thought for sure it was going to reference the Samsung Super Bowl ad I laughed at maniacally during its entire minute of ridiculousness. (A stylus AND a screen that I could mount in my home theater?)

Alas, it drew my attention instead to the presentation of the Super Bowl trophy, pointing out the free advertisement that Apple was getting. My little brother already pointed out to me during the ceremony that there were numerous iPhones drawn recording this timeless, (usually) once-in-a-lifetime event. Behold, real people, witnessing a huge event in their lives, using the iPhone to remember it forever. Cramer says it best: “Nope, there was an ad worthy of Steve Jobs and the company he built.”

There you have it, folks. Try as they might to emulate real-life situations in their ads, usage is king. I watched it a couple of times more, and I counted 12+ iPhones, 6+ of which were white iPhone 4/4S.

How cool is that?

Hat tip to MacRumors because they beat me to this post.
