WTF: Ashton Kutcher To Play Steve Jobs In Indie Flick

Ashton Kutcher has been pegged to play Steve Jobs in an upcoming independent film by Five Star Institute’s Mark Hulme according to Variety. You’re probably as blown away by the news as we were, but there’s some additional information you should probably know: Kutcher isn’t slated to play Steve Jobs in the major film that Sony Pictures is currently putting together based on Walter Isaacson’s biography.

The Sony Pictures film is the one that’s been rumored to be written by Aaron Sorokin, the author behind The Social Network. Instead, the film that Kutcher is being included in is an independent film, financed by Mark Hulme, and will have CAA taking charge of the domestic distribution rights. Feel free to exhale at this point.

That being said, there’s a pretty uncanny resemblance between Kutcher and Steve Jobs.
