Time Inc. exec jumps into the future with Flipboard

The writing on the print-wall has been long in view, things are changing in the print world quickly, and with companies like Flipboard knocking on the backdoor, it’s becoming pretty apparent, pretty quickly that old media needs to do something quickly or else they’re going to see a lot of their talent jumping ship.

Today there’s news that a pretty important Time Inc. executive is leaving Time, and instead taking up shop over at Flipboard. Josh Quittner has written for Time, Inc., including time at Business 2.0. and Fortune for quite a while. His career with Time Inc. has spanned 15 years, and he’s giving it all up for a job with Flipboard.

Clearly the line between old media and new media is blurring even further. Things are going to be getting pretty blurred in the next couple of years as this all works itself out.
