Even though Sparrow 1.6.2 was released via the Sparrow Store a little while ago, it was just released via the App Store. This update includes many new features such as Mountain Lion integration as well as Retina display support for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display. This update is free for all existing Sparrow for Mac users and is definitely a needed update for those who are running the Mountain Lion gold master.
Along with this update, Sparrow for Mac has also been put on a temporary price cut. Until Monday (July 16, 2012) Sparrow’s price has been chopped in half from $9.99 to $4.99. To me, this is a great discount for anyone who has yet to purchase Sparrow. Sparrow is currently my mail client of choice for Mac because of its beautiful user interface and intuitive experience. Sparrow also has useful features such as Facebook integration, quick reply and the ability to use Dropbox and Cloudapp to send email attachments. Sparrow is compatible with all major email services as well as IMAP and POP accounts.
