Snow Leopard stock dwindling in Australia and New Zealand

With Lion rumored to take the stage during WWDC in a couple of weeks, it’s no surprise that we’re beginning to hear reports that Snow Leopard stock is dwindling. According to some people down-under, the Australian and New Zealand online Apple Stores are indicating delays for Snow Leopard.

Other stores are showing regular availability and shipping times, but if Apple is starting to scale back Snow Leopard, we may start seeing delays on those fronts as well.

Lion is still in beta, and on its third preview version; however, there is no indication that it’s nearing Gold Master status, or that it will be ready to ship at WWDC.

Snow Leopard was announced on June 8, 2009, but didn’t ship until August 28, 2009. Leopard was announced on June 11, 2007, and then shipped on October 26, 2007. So, as you can see, Apple has a history of making the official shipping announcement at WWDC. We’re willing to bet that it will be the same this time around.
