Rumored Sonos Play:1 Now Officially A Real Thing

Sonos has just announced that it has released the rumored Sonos Play:1, a much more affordable wireless HIFI speaker system to compliment the Play: 3 and Play: 5 offerings. The new speaker will sell for $199.00, which is much cheaper than Sonos’ other offerings.

From the Sonos blog:

PLAY:1’s custom-designed mid-woofer and tweeter deliver a big low end, and crisp mids and highs minimizing distortion, even at full volume. Plus, PLAY:1 projects a wide field of sound, delivering a great listening experience no matter where you are sitting in the room.

For a limited time Sonos will also be giving away a free Bridge ($49) to people who purchase a Play:1. As always, you can mix and match these devices to round out your home audio needs.

You can add two of these to one system and get a true stereo experience, or add a sub and sound bar to your system for a true home theater experience.

Basically, your configuration is only limited by your imagination and wallet size.
