Rumor: iPhone 5 (4S) getting 8 megapixel camera

It must be that time of year again. iPhone rumors are starting to ramp up as we head towards the traditional release date for the device. Today, the iPhone 5 (4S) camera has been placed in the sights of bloggers and tech journalists alike. According to DigiTimes, the iPhone 5 (4S) may be getting an 8-megapixel camera.

Sources have indicated that the parts for the camera will be sourced from OmniVision Technologies, and Largan Precision. We can’t complain about this one — the more megapixels the better, so long as Apple starts placing better cameras in all of their devices, not just the iPhone.

Also, LTE

DigiTimes has also mentioned that an LTE iPhone may ship in 2011. We’re not going to expand on that rumor, since we have posted numerous times on the iPhone and LTE rumors. If you want more information on that rumor, click here.
