Redsn0w 0.9.6rc13 available, brings untethered support

Looking to update to iOS 4.3.2 but run a jailbroken device? Have no fear, Redsn0w 0.9.6rc13 is here.

The Redsn0w update eliminates the need to tether your devices to your computer during a restart. This edition of the hack works on the iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3rd and 4th generations, and the original iPad. There was an original mention of support for the iPhone 4 (GSM) edition, but the iPhone Dev blog has suggested that iPhone 4 users wait for a future update.

Also a point of note is that redsn0w still isn’t compatible with the ultrasn0w carrier unlock, so if you’re running an unlocked phone you’ll want to avoid redsn0w for now.

You can get the downloads for both Windows and the Mac from the iPhone-Dev blog. Before you get your Redsn0w on, you’ll need a copy of the iOS 4.3.2 ipsw — you can get it here.
