MobileMe still accessible until next year (2012)

With Apple’s announcement fresh in our minds, we realized there are a lot of questions yet to be answered. For instance, will newly signed up MobileMe users get refunds? Will the service be shut down? Do we carry on as usual?

It seems like Apple beat us to the punch, and cleared up at least one of those questions. MobileMe, while no longer accepting new users, will be available until June 30, 2012. Again, that’s 2012, as in a full year from the end of this month.

MobileMe is no longer accepting new subscribers. If you’re a current member, you can still access everything as usual through June 30, 2012.

So, while Apple’s working on moving everyone to the cloud tout suite, those of us who paid for the service will continue getting access to the service through until the end of our subscription periods. That means everything you’ve grown to love, and paid for in MobileMe, won’t be disappearing on you over night.
