MacBook Air demand causes a financial boost for Apple

macbook air makes moneySo apparently selling a whole bunch of a product means you will make money, and the MacBook Air from Apple is no different.

The refreshed version of Apple’s MacBook Air is selling really well, and if the reviews are any indication of satisfaction with the product, the sales won’t be slowing any time soon.

The last earnings call saw Apple touting how well iPad was selling, and barely made mention of the Mac line. However, with the latest versions of Mac mini and the Air, they could be singing a different tune in September. Apple has positioned itself to continue to boost profits and all while offering more and more competitive retail prices.

The introduction of the Mac App Store is an added bonus to all of those Macs being sold. I’d hate to try to guess what the rate of cross-sell is, but I’m sure it comes out to a nice little profit increase per Mac sold.

Regardless of the source, Apple will be seeing a nice little financial “bump” for the rest of the year.
