Asymco founder, Horace Dediu, is starting his own conference

Horace Dediu, founder and author of Asymco.com, an independent industry analysis site, is starting his own conference, promising an “engaging, participatory experience” for attendees.

Mr. Dediu has been observing the PC and mobile phone business for years now and has made himself a name with sane, insightful and fact-based analysis regarding Apple and its competitors.

The conference will take place on April 13th, 2012, in Amsterdam. The topics that will be covered are the following:

  1. What is disruption and how can it be harnessed? The case of mobile computing.
  2. What are the jobs that the entertainment industry is hired to do? The case of Hollywood.
  3. Is Wall Street more than good enough? The case of financial over-service.
  4. What are the limits of education? The case of learning and the theater.

Head over to asymconf.com for more information and the sign-up form.

Most of Wall Street’s PC industry analysts need to be shipped to the conference, tied to chairs and forced to listen to what Mr. Dediu has to say. Maybe their understanding of Apple’s strategy and the predictions of its quarterly earnings will improve.
