Futurama pokes fun at iPhone 4 craze

A recent episode of Futurama, “Attack of the Killer App,” featured a series of jokes at Apple’s expense, focusing on the recent iPhone 4 craze. The show featured a mad dash for the ‘eyePhone’ complete with line-ups of people in zombie-like trances, a stereotypical geek proclaiming “there’s an app for that” at every opportune moment, and an uncanny parody of an Apple store.

Perhaps the best line in the show is when the store employee tells Fry, “Okay, it’s $500, you have no choice of carrier, the battery can’t hold a charge, and the reception isn’t very…” At which point Fry interrupts with “Shut up and take my money.”
