Go & Fill enabled from Chrome’s Omnibox in latest 1Password extension beta

1Password extension versions 3.8.2 beta 5 and later come bundled with a pretty bad ass feature. You can now use Go & Fill directly from Chrome’s Omnibox.

The procedure is pretty simple, requiring you only to type 1p into the Omnibox then press tab.  Once you do this, your “1p” changes to 1Password Beta: and highlights.

This is your cue that it’s time to start typing your URL. Start entering the first few letters of the site you want to auto-log in to and a list of matches will drop down. Select the correct one and you are golden.

This feature works for Windows as well as us Mac users. Just make sure you are running the most up-to-date versions of 1Password as well as the 1Password Chrome extension.

Handling multiple logins to your favorite sites has never been this easy. I’m hoping that the next version just lets me yell obscenities into my mic as my passwords.
