Filemaker Pro Turns 11

It’s been a couple years since I’ve done any extensive work with Filemaker. My copy of Filemaker Server 8 Advanced is sitting on my shelf collecting dust right now. It’s been a little tough keeping up with advancements on the products because my career path has taken me out of the Filemaker game, but from the looks of it Filemaker 11 has added some pretty exciting new features, and I’m dying to try them out.

FileMaker has added the ability to create better charts with the ability to use spreadsheet layouts to compile your data in a way that you’re familiar with, and that is a huge addition.

There’s a bunch of other additions and you can get more information on them on their website.

We’re going to be showing off the application in a little more detail on an upcoming video podcast, and once we spend some time digging through the application a little bit more, we’ll get a review up on the site as well, so stay tuned for that.
