So you like Apple products? Oh, you also like Disney movies? Well perhaps this new service will pique your interest.
Disney Movies Anywhere is a new online offering from Disney that brings its catalogue of over 400 movies right to your computer or iOS device. This includes new titles like the critically acclaimed Frozen, old classics like Aladdin, and don’t forget Marvel titles like The Avengers.
The movies are all available to own, with no current rental or subscription options. Most titles seem to sell for $19.99, so you better really like your Disney. After buying a movie you’ll then be able to stream it from your device, while you’ll also have the option to download it if you plan on venturing to a land with no Wi-Fi.
The cool thing is that you can link your iTunes account to the service, so if you already bought a Disney movie on iTunes, that title will be added to your Disney Movies Anywhere collection for free and vice versa. This will also give you access to HD versions of the films on iTunes if you had previously bought them in SD. Anyone that sets up this link will also be gifted a free copy of The Incredibles, which usually sells for $19.99. You don’t need to own a Disney movie to get that offer either.
It seems that the service is only available in the U.S. for the time being.
