Bit by the battery bug? iOS 4.3.2 may be on the way

Rumors are circulating the internet today that Apple may have an iOS update ready for release in the next couple of weeks. It’s being suggested that Apple’s looking to put the kibosh on some security related bugs, as well as make some tweaks to the operating system.

It’s also being noted by TUAW that Apple could be looking to fix the battery drainage problem that’s plaguing some iPhone 3GS users since the release of iOS 4.3.1. Apple may take the same approach to the iPhone 3GS that they took with the iPhone 3G, disabling features and encouraging users to upgrade. If that’s the case, it’ll probably happen when the iPhone 5 is released in a couple of months.

The original report from Boy Genius Report also notes that the update will be released for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. If we had to hazard a guess, we’d suspect that the Apple TV would also be included in that list.
