Apple is looking for a Thunderbolt firmware engineer

The technology may be less than a year old, but that hasn’t stopped Apple from moving quickly to get Thunderbolt into their products. According to a job listing on Apple’s website, the company is looking to hire a software or firmware engineer to help “develop and maintain firmware for embedded controllers for Thunderbolt products.”

There are a bunch of requirements listed on the website, so if you’re interested you can head on over there and check it out.

That being said, it’s probably only a matter of time until we see Thunderbolt in the iPod, iPhone, and iPad lineup, as well as the rest of the Mac products.

Who knows, maybe the iPhone 5 will have a Thunderbolt port for transferring all of those high-def movies you shoot at the beach. Although, given the rumors about the iPhone 5, it might be more likely that you’ll be shooting high-def movies during your Christmas holidays.

Hat tip to Neil Stimson for sending this in!
