Amazon Instant Video For iOS Gets AirPlay Support

If you’re an Amazon Prime customer living in the U.S., you might occasionally take advantage of the Instant Video service you get with your subscription. Now Amazon has given a bit more incentive to use its Netflix equivalent, as users can now push video from their phone onto their TV using the added AirPlay feature.

While you can get Amazon Instant Video on a number of devices from PS3s to smart TVs, there’s still no app for it on Apple TV. Now, however, you will still have a way to use the service using just your phone or tablet and your Apple TV. Just like any AirPlay app, sending video over from your phone to Apple TV is fast and simple.

The version 2.1 update has also brought with it much more IMDB integration, with cast, ratings, triva and more all easily accessible.

Of course, if you want this AirPlay stuff to work, you’ll also have to own an Apple TV. If you do own one, you might appreciate the new feature. Download the app for free here.
