Rumor: iPhone 5 To Be Released On September 21?

With so many rumors out there about the next-generation iPhone (What will it look like? When will it be released?), it’s sometimes hard to tell which ones are real and which ones aren’t. Most recently, a French blog site has reported that the iPhone 5 will be released on Friday, September 21, 2012.

According to App4phone.fr, citing a source within China’s third largest accessory maker, Apple has released a few details concerning the expected iPhone, including its release date.

This may or may not be true (probably not). Apple often follows similar release patterns and last year the iPhone 4S was released on October 14, 2011. September 21 is somewhat close to last year’s release date, so it could very well be true, but honestly, we’re not really holding our breath. Apple may want to get the highly anticipated next-generation iPhone out a little early so that people can get it before Christmas.

There is no for sure way to know when the iPhone 5 will be released until Apple makes the official announcement themselves. Until then, excited iPhone buyers have only rumors like this to go on.
