Two Million iPhones to ship on launch Weekend

SFGate is reporting that Apple should be delivering over two million iPhone 4s on launch weekend. That is awe-inspiring, frankly. Apple is moving an insane number of iPhones just like they did with iPads a few months ago. People are responding to the large jump forward in this hardware and software refresh. Clearly, iPhone 4 and iOS 4 have very compelling features that not only entice new users, but cause current iPhone users to upgrade.

I wonder, is there one so-called “Killer app” for iPhone 4, or is the whole great than the sum of its parts? Is it the controversial Retina Display? Maybe it’s the HD video support. I’m not sure, but I’d love to hear from you. Why are you buying the iPhone 4? What about it vibrates on your frequency?

Personally, I’m holding out hope that the next iPod Touch, expected in September, will kick just as much ass as the iPhone 4. I don’t get AT&T signal where I live, so I’m eagerly awaiting my opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. At the very least, I’m hoping for a snappy A4-powered iPod Touch with the long-awaited camera support. We’ll see soon enough.
