iWork for iOS now available for iPhone, iPod touch

Today, Apple has released an update to its mobile iWork applications, scaling them for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Pages, Keynote and Numbers are all $9.99 per app. iPad iWork owners get the smaller versions for free, as with this update, the apps are now universal.

“Now you can use Keynote, Pages and Numbers on iPhone and iPod touch to create amazing presentations, documents and spreadsheets right in the palm of your hand,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing in the company’s press release. “The incredible Retina display, revolutionary Multi-Touch interface and our powerful software make it easy to create, edit, organize and share all of your documents from iPhone 4 or iPod touch.”

With the launch of the original iPad, Apple pushed iWork as a productivity solution for its tablet. Hopefully Apple will have a better cloud -based file management system for iOS in the near future, making these apps even better.
