Your iPhone can now take 8-bit photos just like your Gameboy

We almost completely forgot that Nintendo had a portable camera for their Gameboy. In fact, now that I think about it, it may have been the first portable gaming device to actually have a built in camera, and that was way back in 1998. The camera was capable of busting out super low resolution 8-bit pictures.

Guess what? Since low-fi, retro photos are all the rage, it would be perfect time to release a similar iPhone application. And guess what else? You can now download 8-bit Pocket Camera on the App Store. The application not only takes super poor quality photos, it even lets you create a virtual sticker book so you can revisit your pictures later on.

Ahh, 8-bit, we’re so glad you’re making a comeback.
