iOS 8.1 Is Out, And The Camera Roll Is Back

It’s time to fire up Software Update—again—and get the iOS 8.1 update. This update fixes various bugs and adds in features missing from iOS 8.0. Most notably, iOS 8.1 enables the SMS/MMS-to-Mac portion of Continuity, brings Apple Pay to the masses, and adds support for the new iCloud Photos service.

Oh, and it brings back the Camera Roll feature to the Photos and Camera apps. Rejoice!

iOS 8.1 is a much smaller update than 8.0: the download size may vary depending on which iPhone or iPad model you own, but it’s a small 86.8MB download on my iPhone 5C. Download servers may be slammed, so you might want to wait until later today or tonight to get this new update.
