iDOS emulator back on the App Store

iDOS is back on the App Store. The emulator was previously available, but ended up getting yanked by Apple back in October. At the time of its initial release, users were able to run a lot of old DOS games directly on their iOS device.

In an attempt to get it back on the App Store, FAST Intelligence had to close up the iTunes file sharing, and instead now provides 6 legal shareware games in the application. There’s also still access to a fully capable DOS emulator, but you don’t need to know your way around DOS in order to launch games any more.

The Freeware games that are now available with the application include Wolf3D, Duke I/II, Major Striker, SuperNova, and Kingdom of Kroz II.

FAST Intelligence recommends that you have an iPhone 3GS at the very least. iDOS also runs on the iPad.
